The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to 207 youth from the North East for various departments at the Rozgar Mela held at the State Convention Centre in Shillong.
The appointed candidates will join various departments of the Government of India, with 191 in the Department of Posts, 15 in the Railways, and one in NIT Meghalaya.
The Rozgar Mela took place at 46 locations across the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Margherita said the significance of this initiative, calling it an important step for the empowerment of the nation’s youth. He added that this event marks a milestone in achieving the government’s goals of creating employment opportunities for young people.
