Shillong, December 14: The Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Prestone Tynsong has again refused the open debate challenge called by Saket Gokhale who the spokesperson of the All-India Trinamool Congress (AITC). He said that he stands on the same principle that does not want to waste time with a person who has no other job, and one whose concern for Meghalaya is yet unknown.
Gokhale who arrived in Shillong yesterday has again challenged the Deputy Chief Minister to an open debate while also stating that he will defame the thief, and if in the debate the Government is proven wrong, it should resign before the Election and if it is proven right, it should file a court case against him as it pleases.
On being queried about the statement made by the leader of the AITC, the leader of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government said that everyone knows where he is from, but he talks as if he is a resident of Meghalaya. He said that he has never seen such a national spokesperson, and added that if he alleges something, he should also have valid documents as proof and evidence.
