Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who missed her chance to compete in the finals at the Paris Olympics, has secured a victory in the Haryana MLA elections. Contesting from the Julana Constituency on a Congress ticket, Phogat won by a margin of 6,000 votes.
Phogat triumphed over BJP candidate Captain Yogesh Bairagi and AAP’s Kavita Dalal, another wrestler who was also in the race. This victory marks Phogat’s transition from sports to politics, gaining significant support from her constituency
