SHILLONG, July 20: The Director General of Police, Meghalaya, Dr. L.R Bishnoi said the police department supports the decision of the State Government to have a peace talk with the banned militant outfit, the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC), and added that the police force has always wanted peace and now also it supports this decision of the Government so that peace can prevail again in the State.
On being queried, the Police Chief of the State said the path for the peace talks has moved forward towards the good, and the people of the State will be receiving good news in the few coming days.
