Mawlai MDC Bah Teiborlang Pathaw has resigned as an Executive Member (EM) of the NPP-led executive committee in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
The announcement came on Monday after he declared his intention to contest the upcoming MDC election as an independent candidate.
In addition to resigning from his post, Pathaw also withdrew his support for the executive committee and officially resigned from the National People’s Party (NPP).
Addressing speculation about rejoining the NPP after the elections, Teibor clarified that he remains committed to the will of the people. He assured that even if he wins the election, he will continue as an independent MDC and adhere to the decisions of the people of his constituents.
