Nongpoh, June 17: After two days, one dumper truck which was stolen by unidentified thieves from one petrol pump in Guwahati was recovered by the owners of the dumper truck from a location which is in Nongpoh, Ri-Bhoi District area.
As per information gathered, it is said that the thieves fled with the dumper truck bearing registration number, AS 01 EC 3181 from the spot where it was parked at the petrol pump in Biharbari, Guwahati on the morning of the 15th of June and this truck is owned by a person identified as Dip Sharma from Guwahati.
The owner of the dumper truck filed an FIR immediately at Basistha Police Station after he got the news that his vehicle had been stolen and from his friends’ side too they worked hard to search for the vehicle by also enquiring from the toll gates of the NHAI in Pahamawleiñ, Ri-Bhoi District whereby it was informed that this truck was seen entering Meghalaya through the toll gate on the 16th of June,2022 at about 4:00 AM in the morning.
The owner of the dumper truck informed the Meghalaya Police from Ri-Bhoi District who worked hard to search for the dumper truck and it was only today at about noon time, the friends of the truck owner saw the truck in Nongpoh area and followed the truck and stopped it in front of the Petrol Pump near Saidien at the same time informing the police force of Nongpoh Police Station.
After the dumper truck was recovered it was found that the vehicle thieves had changed the number plate and attached the registration number plate ML 12- 1242, and at the same time also removed all the accessories on the vehicle so that it cannot be identified by owners of the vehicle.
