Shillong: Young bodybuilder Daman Ropmay from Shillong, Meghalaya, brought home two medals after an impressive performance at the India Premier Natural Championship Series – Monster Muscle Naturals Global Fitness Expo held in Lucknow on September 27, 2026.
Ropmay clinched the gold medal in the 50–55 kg Bodybuilding category, finishing at the top of his class.
He added another achievement by securing third place and a bronze medal in the Classic Physique Class A (Under 70 kg) category.
Competing away from home, Ropmay’s double-medal performance marks an encouraging achievement for the young athlete and adds to Meghalaya’s growing representation in bodybuilding and fitness competitions at the national level.
With a gold in bodybuilding and bronze in classic physique from the same championship, Ropmay returned from Lucknow with two podium finishes for Meghalaya.
