Shillong College held its inaugural graduation ceremony on Thursday, celebrating students who have completed various academic programs. This marks a historic moment as the college organizes its first formal graduation day since its founding.
The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including Sohra MLA Gavin Miguel Mylliemngap and former senior police officer Mariahom Kharkrang, along with Principal Dr. E Kharkongor, faculty, and students.
In his speech, MLA Mylliemngap emphasized the importance of youth as the future of society, urging students to use their time wisely and make meaningful decisions that will shape their future. He highlighted the significance of the student years in building a successful life.
Mariahom Kharkrang also commended Shillong College for its steady progress and contribution to education in the region.
