Today, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovered the body of a young boy from Umiam Lake, located in Nonglum Mawiong, Ri-Bhoi District. According to a press release by PH Shylla, Public Relations Officer of the Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, the body was retrieved at around 10:45 AM under the supervision of Inspector Transly Tynsong.
The boy was from Nonglum Mawiong, Ri-Bhoi. The body has been handed over to the police and the boy’s family.
