Nongpoh, October 16: Rani Motors officially inaugurated its new Maruti Suzuki NEXA showroom at Pahamsyiem, Nongpoh, near the football ground, on Friday, marking a significant expansion of its automobile services in Ri-Bhoi district.
The newly opened showroom aims to provide customers in Nongpoh and surrounding areas with easier access to Maruti Suzuki’s premium range of vehicles, eliminating the need to travel long distances to explore or purchase their preferred cars.
The showroom will offer NEXA vehicles, including the Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Jimny, XL6, Invicto and Ciaz, catering to customers seeking premium features, comfort and modern automotive technology.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and invited guests, including Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Metbah Lyngdoh, Rani Motors proprietor Inoris Rani, Michael Kharhunai, representatives of the Pahamsyiem and Nongpoh Dorbar Shnongs, showroom employees and members of the public.
The programme also featured a special prayer and blessing by Pastor P. S. Pamshong, who prayed for the success and continued growth of the new business venture.
Adding a cultural touch to the occasion, children from the Ri-Bhoi Presbyterian Synod Children’s Home, Mawsyntai, presented musical performances that delighted the guests and attendees.
As a gesture of goodwill and support for the children’s welfare, Inoris Rani donated ₹50,000 to the Ri-Bhoi Presbyterian Synod Children’s Home.
She also distributed gifts to the children who participated in the programme, acknowledging their performances and contribution to the celebration.
Another highlight of the inauguration was the delivery of three new vehicles to the showroom’s first customers, who were also presented with special gifts to mark the occasion.
The opening of the NEXA showroom represents another step in expanding automobile retail services in Ri-Bhoi district.
With the new facility now operational, customers from Nongpoh and neighbouring areas will be able to explore Maruti Suzuki’s premium vehicles, obtain product information and access sales services closer to home.
The inauguration concluded on a celebratory note, with Rani Motors expressing its commitment to serving customers and strengthening its presence in the region.
