SHILLONG, June 02: Today two groups protested infront of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), one a group of the NEHU Workers’ Union and the other is the group of the NEHU Students’ Union.
The NEHU Workers’ Union protested by shutting the gate of the University in the morning, and at that time some students entered the University in cars which were stopped midway, and at this time a misunderstanding arose which almost led to a fight between the two groups who were in the midst of their own protest.
Brandon Paswett, Adviser of the NEHUSU said that it was all a misunderstanding as the students were not allowed to enter NEHU in cars, however he informed that all misunderstandings have been sorted out.
