The United Democratic Party (UDP) leader and MDC from Sohra, Titosstarwell Chyne, stated that claims regarding the potential postponement of the MDC elections due to amendments to the Sixth Schedule are merely speculative.
Speaking to reporters, Chyne said that the current term has been excessively long and delayed. Therefore, the UDP will urges the State Government to conduct the elections as soon as possible, ideally by the end of the six-month period, asserted Chyne.
