The UDP MLA from Nongpoh, Mayralborn Syiem, has graciously accepted the mandate of the
people in which NPP candidate Rona Khymdeit emerged victorious in the the MDC election from Nongpoh Constituency.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mayralborn acknowledged that elections come with both wins and losses. However, as an MLA, he remains committed to working hard in the coming three years and will leave it to the people to decide his fate in the future.
Regarding the sweeping victory of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) in the KHADC MDC election, he remarked that new beginnings are always exciting and wished the party success in governing the council effectively.
He further stated that in politics, ups and downs are inevitable, as the final decision always rests with the people.
It may be noted that UDP candidate from Nongpoh, Balajied Rani, was defeated by the NPP in the MDC election, with results declared yesterday.
