NEHUSU President & eight other students suffer health decline amid 10-day hunger strike

HEADLINES

All nine students are showing signs of weakness, with many suffering from low blood pressure and low blood sugar levels. Despite their deteriorating condition, the students remain firm in their demand for the resignation of Vice Chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, refusing to end the hunger strike until their primary demand is met.

Dr. Carol Mukhim, who is monitoring the health of the student protesters, reported that Sandy Sohtun is dealing with abdominal issues, likely due to the prolonged period without food.

Given his weakened state, she mentioned that an injection was administered, as oral medication is currently not advisable, added Dr. Carol.
