Mawlai MDC Teiborlang Pathaw has vowed to bring more development projects to the Mawlai constituency if re-elected to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
Pathaw, who resigned from the National People’s Party (NPP) ahead of the upcoming elections, filed his nomination as an independent candidate at the ISBT, Mawlai Mawiong on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Pathaw highlighted his contributions over the past seven years, stating that he has worked tirelessly for the betterment of Mawlai. “I have worked hard for the people of Mawlai, and now it is up to them to decide if they want to elect me again,” he said, emphasising his record of delivering diverse development projects.
Reflecting on his tenure in the KHADC, Pathaw praised the current Executive Committee for its achievements, particularly in passing key bills aimed at strengthening and protecting the indigenous people. “The work done in the KHADC will benefit the locals for years to come,” he added.
