Shillong: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has said the law will take its course regardless of whether the person involved is an MLA, MP or MDC, following the alleged disruption of the Staff Nurse recruitment process at the DC office in Nongstoin.
Tynsong made the statement when asked about the government’s next course of action after Nongstoin MDC Dr Juristman Iawphniaw allegedly entered the interview room while the Staff Nurse recruitment interviews were underway at the DC office in Nongstoin on Monday.
Tynsong said disrupting a recruitment examination was not the proper course of action. He said if the MDC or anyone else has concerns about irregularities in the recruitment process, they should file a complaint, following which the government would conduct an inquiry to establish whether any wrongdoing had taken place.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government would not tolerate any illegal activity in the recruitment process and would take strict action against anyone found to be involved in wrongdoing.
