Nongpoh, October 14: Drivers from Kerala, Mehboob K and Shafi CK, emerged as champions in the Pro-Modified category at the 6th “Adventures Hynniew-Trep Off Roaders” (AHOR) 4X4 Off Road Challenge held in Umtham, Ribhoi District. The duo secured the top prize, taking home ₹1.50 lakh and a trophy for their outstanding performance.
In the Semi-Modified category, the team of Cameo Lawai and Freddy Mawrie clinched the first position, while Rashid Mukhim and Banker Khongwir took the top spot in the Stock Category. The women’s category was won by Philita Syiem and Markynti Warjri. Additionally, awards were presented for Best Driver and Co-Driver across all three categories.
The three-day off-road event, held at Kharsati Nature Park, concluded on October 12. The closing ceremony was graced by MB Tongper, ADC Ribhoi, alongside other dignitaries including Donlang Sohkhlet, Vice-Chairman of Meghalaya Resource Employment Generation Council, and leaders of AHOR.
