SHILLONG, March 03: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma said that the meeting with the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on the 9th of this month is specifically called for the border issue resolution with Assam.
On being asked about the peace talk with the HNLC, the Chief Minister said that perhaps there may be a discussion on the arrangements for peace with the HNLC if chance permits, however at present it cannot be assured as the meeting called by the MHA is specifically on the agenda of border issue resolution.
On being asked further, Sangma expressed that he is looking forward for the discussion with the Union Home Minister on the border issue resolution to be as per the report submitted by the two states, and also expressed hope that a decision is taken and finalized on the same day for the 6 sites of the border dispute.
