SHILLONG, May 12: The Central Government through the Ministry of Education today sent a written communication to the State Government exempting Meghalaya from the implementation of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), and students seeking admissions in any college may apply in the same manner as had been in practice.
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K.Sangma informed that the letter from the Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan was received while a meeting of the MDA Coordination Committee on the matter of the CUET was in process, in which he expressed that in Meghalaya, the admissions into colleges will continue as per the practices of the previous years.
