Former Meghalaya Chief Minister, Dr Donwa Dethwelson (DD) Lapang, has resigned from his position as Adviser to the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance-II (MDA-2) government, led by the National People’s Party (NPP). In a letter sent to Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Bah Lapang expressed his decision to step down with a heavy heart.
Dr Lapang, who was appointed as Adviser after the NPP-led government took office, had previously been a key leader of the Congress before joining the NPP in recent years.
