Shillong: The Congress party in Meghalaya, at present, does not want to speak or criticise on anything relating to the issue of the border resolution process with the Assam Government. This refusal of the party to speak or criticise on the matter also comes after it took part in the meeting of all the political parties of the state called especially by the Chief Minister,Conrad K.Sangma yesterday.
In following up with the participation of the Congress party in the meeting called by Sangma, the Working President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Pynshngain N.Syiem while speaking with media persons on Tuesday expressed that in the meeting held yesterday, the proceeding was not as elaborate as the Chief Minister only presented a summary of the report based on the feelings or opinions of the two Governments.
Therefore on finding this, the Congress party has upheld that until the time it receives the complete report on every site, it cannot point to any contention or speak anything on the matter, expressed Syiem while at the same time also expressing a dissatisfaction on the clarifications presented by the Chief Minister in the meeting held yesterday.
