The lone Congress MLA, Ronnie V Lyngdoh has dismissed speculation about him joining the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), calling it ‘mere speculation’.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Lyngdoh clarified that the rumors did not originate from any source but were instead created by a media outlet.
The speculation arose after a newspaper report last week claimed that the Mylliem legislator was set to switch to the NPP.
However, Lyngdoh had remained silent on the matter until today when he finally addressed the rumors, positively denying any plans to leave the Congress.
