Shillong: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma is currently receiving treatment for typhoid and scrub typhus, a disease linked to climate change. The Chief Minister is reported to be recovering well, focusing on regaining his health through a strict regimen of diet and medication.
A team of senior health officials, along with specialists from Civil Hospital, Shillong, and NEIGRIHMS, visited the Chief Minister at his residence today to assess his medical condition. According to the medical team, Sangma’s condition is showing signs of improvement.
Depending on the progress of his recovery, Chief Minister Sangma may attempt to attend the remaining sessions of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. Further updates on his health and participation in the assembly are expected in the coming days.
