Shillong: East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal, has said normalcy has returned to Shillong following the recent incidents, with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel withdrawn from the city and the KSU calling off its agitation.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, Baranwal said discussions among civil society groups were still underway and expressed confidence that the situation in Shillong and across the district had returned to normal.
He said tourists had also started returning to Shillong and other parts of the district, with fresh bookings being reported.
