Shillong: Banganson emerged as the star player, scoring a hat-trick that secured Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School’s spot in the semifinals of the U-17 International Subroto Cup in Delhi. Myngken Christian defeated CISCE, Minerva Punjab, in a match played under challenging conditions due to heavy rain.
Despite the wet and slippery field, the team from Meghalaya displayed skill and determination. Banganson scored all three goals within 50 minutes, finding the net in the 27th, 40th, and 50th minutes.
Though Minerva Punjab managed to score a goal, Myngken Christian held their ground and ensured their progression to the semifinal.
