Shillong, March 29: The leader of the BJP who is also the MLA from Pynthorumkhrah, Alexander Laloo Hek said that he is one of the representatives who is against illegal mining and trade of coal, and he also states that it is unacceptable to do anything illegal.
He said that he is happy that the Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong is also against it as well as other Ministers in the Government including Banteidor Lyngdoh, Hamletson Dohling and MLA,Samlin Malngiang who are against it.
He said that on this matter several meetings have been held with Prestone Tynsong and he also met with the Chief Minister to express upon him that they are against illegal activities, but those involved continue to practice it and till now activities on coal could not be stopped.
Hek who is a former Minister in the State Government said that as representatives who are part of Government they constantly show and will continue to show their dissatisfaction of the actions of the Government.
On being asked as to why then even after all these they continue to sit together, he said that if they do not sit together then it shows that they are playing politics and by sitting together they can be shown the path to do the right thing.
