The Aroha Choir Music Society will hold a fundraising music concert to support patients at Dr. H. Gordon Robert’s Hospital, Shillong. The event aims to help those struggling to pay their medical bills, with a special tribute to the late A.H. Scott Lyngdoh, father of Pauline Warjri, who contributed to the hospital during his lifetime.
Pauline Warjri shared stories of patients facing financial hardships, including a young woman from Nongshillong who incurred massive debts after receiving stroke treatment in the ICU. Aroha aims to raise funds for such individuals through their performances.
The event will take place on November 18 and 19, 2024, at Soso Tham Auditorium, with tickets priced at ₹300, ₹500, and ₹1,000. Other activities include a panel discussion on November 17 and a medical camp on November 18.
Pauline urged the public to attend the concert and support the cause.
