A second student from Meghalaya has died following a suspected food poisoning incident at a residential school in Malavalli, Karnataka.
The student is from Nongstoiñ; however, this has not been confirmed by officials yet.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma confirmed the tragic news on Tuesday through a post on X, “Pained to learn about the passing of another young boy from Meghalaya in Karnataka. My deepest condolences to the family,” the Chief Minister wrote.
