Shillong: The MLA of North Shillong constituency, Adelbert Nongrum on Wednesday the 12th of January, met with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya
Conrad K.Sangma and submitted 5 issues of demand which as a public representative he feels strongly about and are required to be solved before the State celebrates its 50 years of Statehood.
The issues that Nongrum submitted with Sangma today in the form of a petition includes the reservation policy in the allocation of jobs in the departments of the State Government and the distribution of seats in educational institutions or universities.
The demand to extend the age limit further in the recruitment process to departments of the State Government.
The necessity to have a separate category or Meghalaya State cadre for central competitive exams like the IAS,IPS,IFS and so on and so forth.
The requirement to relocate the residents of Them Ïew Mawlong
And the most important issue is to work towards the prompt resolution of the border of the State.
