Meghalaya Commissioner & Secretary for Home, Cyril Diengdoh, along with Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumar, visited the Meghalaya students undergoing treatment in Karnataka following the suspected food poisoning incident at Gokul Educational Institution’s hostel in T. Kagepura Village, Mandya District.
The officials assessed the health condition of the affected students and assured them of all necessary assistance. Meghalaya authorities are working closely with their Karnataka counterparts to facilitate the safe return of the students to their home state.
Meanwhile, arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the food poisoning. The Meghalaya government continues to monitor the situation and has deployed officials to ensure the well-being of the affected children.
