Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has announced the launch of the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, aimed at supporting students pursuing post-matric courses.
Speaking during the budget session, Sangma stated that under this scheme, students will receive ₹6,000 per annum in addition to the existing post-matric scholarship.
He also addressed concerns regarding delays in the Central Government’s post-matric scholarship, attributing them to delays in fund disbursement from the Centre.
The state government, CM assured, is actively working to ensure timely release of these funds in the future.
