Mawsynram MLA Ollan Singh Suin has urged outsiders to refrain from interfering in the decisions of the Mawsynram Dorbar Shnong regarding the contentious Mawjymbuin Cave issue.

Speaking on Tuesday, MLA Suin said that the matter is currently under the purview of the Meghalaya High Court, which has directed the Deputy Commissioner to establish a committee to address the issue.

Expressing his personal view, the MLA stated that individuals from Assam or outside the state should not meddle in the affairs of the Dorbar Shnong, which has imposed a ban on worship at the cave as of now.

Regarding the threats issued by the Hindu League of Assam to block vehicles entering Meghalaya if their demands to worship at the site are not met, Suin called for firm action by the state government to address the situation.
