Mawkyrwat, June 04: The public of Mawkyrwat constituency are starting to get excited for the upcoming election. This was witnessed today when Sounder S.Cajee, son-in-law of (L) Rowell Lyngdoh, former MLA of Mawkyrwat constituency and former Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, organised a public meeting along with his supporters in the Nativity Ground in Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District in which thousands of people from Mawkyrwat constituency were seen to have flocked to the venue.
Speaking on this day, Sounder S.Cajee did not announce which party he would be contesting the election from but he hinted at choosing one of the regional parties and not any of the national parties.
He spoke much about his journey and following in the footsteps of (L) Rowell Lyngdoh who had done a lot of good things for South West Khasi Hills District in enlightening the people on governance, trade and business, job opportunities and many more developmental works in the area. He also made a promise to follow in the footsteps of (L) Rowell Lyngdoh to faithfully serve the area, region, country and community.
On the same day, forefront office-bearers were also confirmed to strengthen the team under the leadership of Cajee for the Women’s Wing, Youth Wing and others as well.
