The collective of different organisations along with the public residents of Nongstoiñ area under the banner of Sur Ki Nongwest yesterday in part to condemn the recent assault on one man with an iron rod in Nongstoiñ, the Sur Ki Nongwest yesterday came out in a public rally which began from Indoor Stadium Ladweitang and culminated with a public meeting at the compound of Market Complex, New Nongstoiñ.

The collective strongly condemned not only the perpetrator of the act but also other drug addicts and addicts of other intoxicating substances which greatly affects society in the area as a whole.

It was said the availability of drugs in the area has risen and as a result crime has also risen.
