SHILLONG: The multi-level parking lot near the Additional Secretariat in Shillong has become fully operational on Tuesday with the Urban Affairs Department announcing the parking charges for vehicles.
According to the rates fixed by the department, the parking fee is ₹20 for the first hour. For every additional hour beyond the first, an extra ₹10 will be charged.
For vehicles parked throughout the day, the maximum charge will be capped at ₹150, while overnight parking will cost ₹100 per night.
The multi-level parking facility was constructed at a cost of ₹6.5 crore and was inaugurated by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on February 6 this year. The facility has the capacity to accommodate up to 58 vehicles at a time.
