The Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) has proudly congratulated Riiohlang Dhar, a female football referee from the state, for being selected to assist in the FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup.
Riiohlang, a member of the 1st MLP Battalion in Shillong, is the only Indian chosen for this prestigious opportunity, making her selection a significant milestone.
To honor her achievement, the MFA presented Ri-iohlang with a commemorative medal and a cash prize of ₹25,000 during a ceremony at the MFA office in JN Stadium Polo, Shillong.
The event was attended by MFA President Hamletson Dohling, Secretary Sunesh Syiem and executive members.
During the ceremony, Hamletson Dohling expressed his pride in Riiohlang’s accomplishment, calling it a proud moment for the MFA, the state and the country.
Sunesh Syiem added that this was one of the greatest honors for the association, extending the MFA’s best wishes to Ri-iohlang as she embarks on her role in the global tournament.
