Kolkata, Oct 12: Football fever is set to grip India once again as Lionel Messi prepares to visit the country for a three-day tour from December 13 to 15, with Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi as key stops. The Argentina captain will be joined by his Inter Miami and former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez, as well as Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, making the tour an unmissable spectacle for fans.
According to organisers, Messi’s visit will kick off at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on December 13, followed by events at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on December 14 and 15. The trio is expected to arrive together in a private jet from Miami via Dubai.
Sources confirmed Suarez and De Paul’s participation, while discussions are ongoing to include Neymar, potentially reuniting the iconic “MSN” trio of Messi, Suarez, and Neymar that once defined Barcelona’s golden era. “Suarez’s presence is confirmed. So is De Paul’s,” said a source close to the organisers. “Talks with Neymar are still underway.”
The tour will feature motivational sessions with children, where Messi will share his footballing insights and skills. Fans are already snapping up tickets for the Kolkata event, with ₹3,850 tickets sold out and limited availability remaining for those priced at ₹4,366 and ₹4,720.
Even if Neymar doesn’t make it, the sight of Messi and Suarez together on Indian soil is expected to be a dream moment for millions of football lovers across the country.
