The Congress party has raised serious allegations against the MDA government, led by the National People’s Party (NPP), accusing it of sidelining state officers and relying heavily on consultants for key administrative tasks. According to Congress leader Manuel Badwar, important government files are being handled by consultants instead of state officials, diminishing the role of senior officers.
Speaking to T7, Badwar claimed that many crucial decisions in various government departments are being influenced by consultants, with officers merely signing off on pre-prepared documents. He further criticized the close collaboration between some IAS officers and consultants, expressing concern over the government’s approach to administration.
Badwar emphasized that this reliance on external consultants raises questions about the effectiveness of the state’s officers and the MDA government’s commitment to transparency and proper governance.
