The authorities have recovered the body of Herbert Mawlieh, also known as “Bahrit,” from Wahriat River near the main bridge of Nongstoiñ. Mawlieh, a 39-year-old resident of Pyndengrei village, had been missing since the morning of September 28, 2024.
Herbert, a regular Alto truck driver, was last seen leaving without his slippers, mobile phone, or any personal belongings, which were found inside his vehicle. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
