Shillong: The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government has appointed Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, NPP legislator from East Shillong and former cabinet minister, as Adviser to the state government.
According to a notification issued on November 3 by C.V.D. Diengdoh, Commissioner and Secretary in charge of the Planning, Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department, Lyngdoh will be entitled to Category “A+” perks and facilities as prescribed by the Finance Department’s Office Memorandum dated August 17, 2023.
Her appointment follows the denotification of the late Dr. D.D. Lapang, former chief minister, who previously held the position of Adviser to the MDA government.
