The Meghalaya Government has invited the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) for talks to discuss the issues raised by the organisation, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Sangma said the government had sent a letter to the KSU on Monday morning inviting its representatives for discussions on the demands and issues raised by the union.

“We have sent a letter to the KSU this morning and are now waiting for their response,” the Chief Minister said.

The government’s move comes amid tensions following the KSU’s recent protest and its demands on various issues.
