Minister incharge of Sports and Youth Affairs Wailadmiki Shylla on Monday said the state government respects the findings of the inquiries conducted by the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW)
into the alleged Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) POSH (Act). stating that the decisions were taken after due process.
Speaking to reporters, Shylla said the matter was initially dealt with by the MCA before also being taken up by the Meghalaya State Commission for Women.

Shylla said the government respects the autonomy of these institutions and believes the inquiry was conducted with due diligence.
According to him, the findings and subsequent action were based on the outcome of the investigation, and from the government’s perspective, the authorities concerned have carried out their responsibilities in accordance with the established process.
