Meghalaya Storm Into U-20 National Championship Quarterfinals With Perfect Record

Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2026 saw a dominant run from Meghalaya as the team sealed a place in the quarterfinals with a commanding 3-0 victory over Rajasthan in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh.

Meghalaya completed the Group A stage with a perfect record, winning all four matches to finish top of the table with 12 points. The side opened the scoring early through Mebanlamlynti Masharing in the 3rd minute from an Imeral Jana corner. Ryan Gibbs Kharnaior doubled the lead in the 17th minute with a brilliant solo effort before Phermanbha Lyngdoh added the third in the 38th minute to put the game beyond Rajasthan before halftime.

The team had earlier registered impressive wins against Bihar (3-1), Jharkhand (5-0), and Andhra Pradesh (8-1). Meghalaya will now face the winners of Group C in the quarterfinals
