The Big Futsal Fest 2026 concluded in Shillong with a thrilling final at the Thrive Sports Arena, Langkyrding, where S10 Healthcare edged past Shillong Police FT 6–5 to lift the title.
The high-intensity final saw both teams display exceptional skill and determination. Shillong Police struck early, but S10 Healthcare responded strongly, with Gabriel Blah and Russell Lyngdoh Nongkynrih each scoring hat-tricks to secure victory.
Earlier, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly clinched third place after defeating Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards 1–0 via penalties.
The closing ceremony was attended by A. L. Hek, MLA of Pynthorumkhrah, and former footballer Samuel Shadap. Individual awards included Best Goalkeeper (Ivannature Nadon), Highest Goal Scorer (Gabriel Blah), and Best Disciplined Team (Water Resources).
Organised through a public-private partnership involving the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs and partners like Škoda Auto, Royal Enfield, and HDFC Bank, the tournament was hailed as a major success, boosting Meghalaya’s sporting culture.
