Nongkseh Sports Social and Cultural Club (SS&CC) has launched its new team uniform for the upcoming 2024 Shillong Sports Association (SSA) First Division tournament. The unveiling took place on Friday, with Myrank Thangkhiew, the Rangbah Shnong of Nongkseh, Raid Saw Kur, as the chief guest. The event also saw the release of the club’s anthem, in the presence of the club’s Executive Committee, players, and officials.
Founded in 1969, Nongkseh SS&CC has experienced ups and downs in the SSA leagues, including stints in the Super Division (now Shillong Premier League) and Third Division. Under the leadership of President Daniel M. Thangkhiew and General Secretary Marbiangdor Thangkhiew, the club has progressed from Third Division to First Division within the past two years.
The team will be captained by former I-League player Chesterpaul Lyngdoh, with Armanki Kharkongor, formerly of Nongthymmai SC, serving as vice-captain.
