Shillong is set to host the prestigious JK Architect of the Year Awards as the 35th edition of the awards brings its Jury Meeting and Entries Exhibition to the city on March 13 and 14, 2026. The event is being organised by JK Cement Ltd..
The two-day programme will showcase cutting-edge architectural designs competing across 13 distinguished award categories. Architecture students from nearby colleges will have the opportunity to witness the exhibition and engage with innovative design concepts.
Eminent architects from across India and abroad will convene in Shillong to evaluate the entries, exchanging ideas and perspectives during the jury deliberations.
The event will culminate in the Winner’s Announcement Ceremony on March 14, expected to be attended by government officials, architects and construction industry leaders.
Event Administrator Mr. Rana Pratap Singh said the platform celebrates excellence in architecture while encouraging collaboration and inspiration within the industry.
The 35th edition is expected to mark a significant moment in India’s architectural calendar, spotlighting creative vision and emerging talent.
