Mawkyrwat, July 29: The message received through Kenes Nonglait, Working President of the Federation of the Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo People(FKJGP), South West Khasi Hills District in one voice has expressed their strong stand on the principle which they had set forth from the very beginning to not allow the Indian Government to mine uranium deposits from South West Khasi Hills District in Meghalaya no matter if the Indian Government has not given up the idea of mining uranium in the district but the FKJGP no matter what will not allow this to happen but if the Indian Government or Meghalaya Government forcefully go ahead with the aim then they are ready to stand for the motherland and community in anyway is required for them to protect their motherland and community because they know fully well if any mining of the mineral uranium is allowed then a great danger poses before the community which is still a minority.
