Shillong: The Unitarian Church Madan Laban on Thursday celebrated the 138th Anniversary of the foundation of Unitarianism in Northeast India with a special programme attended by church members, leaders, and well-wishers.
The event was graced by MP Dr. Ricky Andrew J. Syngkon as Chief Guest and Laban Mawprem MDC Ricky Shullai as Guest of Honour. Dr. Syngkon praised the Church for its contributions to community welfare and moral values, invoking the parable of the Good Samaritan to stress compassion, service, and solidarity with those in need.
The programme included prayers, hymns, and reflections from church leaders on the growth of the Unitarian movement since its establishment. The celebration ended with a renewed call for unity and dedication to fostering love, understanding, and social responsibility.
