The news report on Tuesday, highlighting the issue of urine stains and foul odors, quickly went viral, sparking public criticism and prompting action from the authorities.
Just hours after the T7News report, SMB employees arrived to remove the stains and disinfect the area, addressing concerns raised by netizens. The rapid response has been praised, with many urging citizens to help maintain the cleanliness of public spaces.
With the government taking steps to address these issues, it is now up to the citizens to show respect and responsibility toward our Shillong, so as the saying goes, “Sarong te lakajong”.
