SUPPORT EXTENDED BY THE 5 CONGRESS MLAS COMES AFTER SEEING THE GOOD WORK DONE BY THE GOVERNMENT: CONRAD

HEADLINES

Shillong: Conrad Kongkal Sangma, Chief Minister and leader of the coalition government, Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) in the State has refused to say anything or criticise the decision taken by the All India Congress Committee(AICC) to suspend the party’s 5 MLAs following the decision they had taken to extend their support to the Government led by him in which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also a partner.

Speaking with media persons, Sangma said that the reason which led the 5 Congress MLAs to come forward and extend their support to this Government is the welfare of the public which they have put at the forefront.

Responding to a query on whether the NPP is ready or not to accept the 5 Congress MLAs into its fold, he said that with regards to this, he had clearly stated that it is a different matter or issue which requires detailed examination and at present, no part of the matter has been discussed as yet.
